Morning .
Wow a transplant ,its such a wonderful opportunity to feel well again .Hope you stay well ....question ,how old are you & at what stage was your illness .I would like to ask my consultant if a transplant is possible for me ,just don't know what the criteria is ....
I am now 63. I was diagnosed with copd about 10 years ago. When the doctors couldn't offer me anything more to help I was referred to a specialist who eventually referred me to Wythenshawe. You usually go in for a few days to make sure you are fit enough for transplant. I decided to ave a good family holiday and then went on list September 2012. I ad a fairly long wait but some only waited a few weeks. Sue E
