Why does BLF use Health Unlocked for its forum, rather than having it on its own site?

It would be to costly for BLF to run and maintain it own hosting platform, solely for one site.

It is cost effective to join a existing platform,

Media sites like Facebook and Twitter are only platforms for other to use.

Apart from all the maintenance , you have spend time promoting the platform so it appears at or near top of search list, that in it self is a full time job.

Ther are any number of platforms to join, but you choose the best to promote your site, such as BLF.

The extra good point is healthunlocked is dedicated to health, so there is any number of sites in the one block which may be of interest to you or others.
