The reduction in cost will be thru innovations. An artificial pancreas from a 3D printer could have insulin suppliers shaking in their boots. One day we will grow nerves and arteries. The WOW is not 40 years away

Now, now , we can't always be cynical, can we? Remember the first electrical games like Atari's PONG, heck that game is practically a freebie today. Day one you are correct but in short order the better mouse trap will be stem cells through a low cost injection. The uncanny cells know what to do without man's two-cents input or is that mark-up?

Back in the day when I was fitish We had a family business and was asked to make a small cabinet for a hospital which we did the one off and charged them £40.00. At the time a company had a exclusive contract to supply these and they made 100's and charged £200.00 each! I except we need profit to exist and grow but!
