hi I have been on it for years I would strongly advice always taking it with food. I think it has caused me problems with acid re flux and some small bleeds. Same as asprin would if you took it every day. hope it works for you.

I was prescribed this when I was first diagnosed about 15 yrs ago but as it made no difference to me that treatment was stopped.

I have been on it a few years now, and is the one drug I wouldn't be without.

I'm looking forward to trying it. I've been on the sprivia inhaler. People say that works. But it's made no difference for me.

I was on Phyllocontin Continus which is Theophylline based for 4 years. I can't say I noticed a difference, but now my resp consultant wants me to quit, as he thinks my previous resp consultant was overdosing me on too many meds.

There are risks with theophylline and make sure if you have surgery anywhere i.e dental or needing a local anaesthetic or even general anaesthetic, they know!!!!!

Keep us posted though with how you get on with it.

Hiya i have been taking theopiline (as slo-Philin) for 6yrs. It has helped my asthma (brittle). Only things to watch out for blood tests every month until dose is right, then every 6months and stay on the same brand.
