I suffered with a broken sternum after a argument with an air bag, and I know how much it hurts, you can still see the teeth marks in the ceiling, it took six weeks to clear, there is not a lot you can do but grin and bear it. I did find I knew a lot of swear words. Good luck I hope the painkillers work

Moneal went without meds for 6 hours in hospital because they lost meds chart!!!! K

Wow that must of been some impact! I was told that the sternum has to be moved 2" before it will break.

I popped 3 ribs out my sternum many years ago just by sneezing I dropped to the floor clutching my chest and my wife thought I had a heart attack. The pain was do intense and was not nice when they put them back in.

Try heat and cold in short bursts.

Be Well

Not good katie, is the physio different types of breathing control? That's what I do (or should) I'm not very good, and I don't have a broken sternum. Sending gentle (very gentle) hugs. xx
