So today would have been my dad's birthday... It's the first one without him. It's been so hard today. Bought him a card, wrote a message and have had it on the shelf all day. I'm going to visit my nan and grandads grave tomoro to lay flowers (dad doesnt have one) Now I'm spending the night with my wonderful friends to get my through xx

I'm sure dad would have said, "Good girl, thanks for that." It is hard now sweetheart but the pain will ease a bit in time and you will be left with lots of happy memories. I get the feeling dad loved you quite a lot.

Hi Laura,thoughts are with you,on a difficult day.As people said the pain eases in time.I lost twin boys(died after birth) that was over 40 years ago,but still feel a lot of emptiness,on that anniversary! The pain never goes entirely away.
