My husband suffers with severe COPD and does use the saline especially when he has an infection and it does seem to really help. Perhaps a call to the helpline could give you better advise. TAD xx
A take 7% hypertonic saline nubulised to help bring my gunk up.
As far as scar tissue did see pics and is quite horrific what it dose to your lung ... There is a pill that helps with scar tissue but you would have to ask your GP or other members ... Or just stick to lite excersises
Cheers all the best
I find saline nebs do thin my secretions. I have bronchiectasis. Why not ask your doctor?
I was given saline nebs whilst in hospital and I have pulmonary fibrosis. So yes I would say you could take them, but check with your gp or consultant first. - Dozy
Morning, I use Saline nebulisers twice to four times a day to do just this job. I have ILD and pulmanory fibrosis. It makes a huge positive difference. Speak with your GP or Respiratory care team.
Thank you so much to all those that replied. I'm hoping that I can encourage my mum to become a member on here,as you are all so encouraging and positive
