does home oxygen therapy affect eyesight,does anyone else have this problem or could it be eye cataracts.

Only just started on oxygen bazwag but I've not heard or read anything about this. I think if it were the case there would be reports of it somewhere. Perhaps someone else knows more.

Are you on Prednisone? That worsens cataracts.

I am on oxygen24/7 15 lt for 16 hours aday on a mask. I also have cataracts and had my eyes tested a few weeks ago,was told eyesight very good !however sometimes my eyes go fuzzy. Iam presently on more prednisolone than usual and antibiotics so I am not sure which to blame!!!I am hoping to return to ((normal. ))))if there is such a thing!!!!!!Hope this helps you not to worry !!!!

Hi Bazwag and dime,

I have just the same probs as you dime, my eyes often go fuzzy. I'm on 5/6 lpm and have been for two and a half years. i recently had my eyes checked for the fuzziness but, with specs, they're fine. However I understand, as drd4 has said, that cataracts can be a side effect of steroids. Just lucky aren't we? Lol.

Hi, Yeah steroids caused cataracts with me but I still get fuzzy eyes and think that may be the oxygen. Just another problem we have to learn to accept. Sue E
