Get some cordials I have a selection that I add to my water and if I go out I always drink apple juice with a dash of black currant
I know Tescos and Morrisons do a no added sugar. Herbal teas can be good. That reminds me, I dont drink enough fluids.
I find that the no sugar varieties are full of Aspartame which is not good for the brain! I'd prefer herbal tea. I drink rooibos tea which isn't really classified as a tea. That contains no caffeine and no added sugar and NO Aspartame!
water can get boring M&S have some nice cordials and soft drinks as do many larger supermarkets. Iced tea sachets make a change too as do herbal teas. There are numerous flavours to be had these days and even hot chocolate as many flavours, some herbalists have single tea sachets so you can try different flavours
I enjoy a cup of Red bush tea. It isn't related to normal tea but comes from the Rooibos bush. Very refreshing with or without milk, and packed full of antioxidants.
I tend to drink orange and pineapple squash x
I drink cranberry juice, pomegranate juice and blueberry juice.
I rather like elderflower. The last bottles I bought were from M and S. A local lady makes it and sells it at charity dos and cat's protection. The season is all too short but M and S is quite good. Alison
Fresh orange mixed with bitter lemon equal amoumts of each thinks its called a st clements. Ginger beer with a good dash of lime aswell. Both very refreshing.
I can only drink 2cups of coffee a day which is my favourite drink so I drink lemon and ginger tea as I don't like normal tea. If its cold drinks you like then elderflower and schloer is nice. You can get a red one and a white one. J2o is nice if you get the raspberry and apple one. I don't like squashes as they are sweet and sickly and these others are not.
Fresh orange juice with diet tonic water, very refreshing. X pat
Tonic water with a slice of lemon, if you are wanting something alchoholic for a wee change just add a dash of vodka or gin, but the tonic on its own is lovely as I don't have much of a sweet tooth, also ginger beer, very refreshing xx
You could make up wide necked jars of your own fruit concoctions and leave them in the fridge, we have lemon and lime with a small amount of fresh mint steeped in water, also we gave up alcohol and found people tend to give you strange looks in a social environment so we went on a mission to discover the best non alcoholic wine, Asda came out top, followed by Sainsbury's and then Morrisons, Tesco came bottom both on price and taste.
Liptons do a good iced tea - mango, peach or lemon flavours. I also like The Green Bottle's Ginger and Elderflower cordial. They're all equally refreshing.
I understand the bit about been looked at as odd if you don't drink in company. I remember being asked at a wedding how I could possibly drink the same drink all day ie orange all day - he didn't seem to think it odd that he'd been drinking whisky all the time!!
If you want something for those occasions when others are drinking alcohol, you can buy non alcoholic wine and beer.
I don't take multivits on a daily basis but I buy the effervescent zinc, vit c, multi vit or the magnesium effervescent lozenge just to add to my morning water and give it a bit of a sparkle and flavour, (just one a day of one of these), you can get in lemon/lime flavours, orange, raspberry, black current quit nice
A squeeze of fresh lemon in the water is good too, also the fruit teas, just add hot water, you can drink these hot or cold, lots of flavours.
Kopperberg alchol free cider mixed fruits lovely chilled!
