Hi Poppins,
Scary isn't it? I was diagnosed 6 months ago and am still in some state of shock, I mainly stay in the sidelines and read the posts to gain knowledge, this site is great for that, browse away but also feel free to ask or just vent xx
Morning Poppins, Welcome to the site - there are lots of expert patients who will be able to help you. If you have any questions just post it on here and someone no doubt will help you. Are you a member of the BLF - if not they have a very useful pack of information just ring them and ask them to send it out to you. If you are worried about anything then just post it. The most positive thing I can say is don't google too much - this is not a death sentence it just may mean a change in lifestyle. Take good care of yourself. As its coming up to winter - get a flu jab! Don't worry. With much love and kind thoughts TAD xx

Hi Poppins my husband has had COPD for quite a while. We just take each day at a time. Some doctors are more helpful than others. He is on oxygen 24/7 which makes life difficult but we get support. We do manage to go out and have recently bought a static caravan which with the help of my family we hope to use quite a lot. Good luck Jean
