Where did you all get your names from on here ? Me, Jambo 1958 is my nickname because I loved jam sandwiches when I was a kid,so all my mates called me Jambo.and the 1958 is year I was born, yea I know.all you girls thought I was only 21... Ha ha.
Talking of names how did your puddy tat get saddled with the name Kevin (apologys to all men named kevin it's a lovely name for men ) but really maybe not for a cat and to make it worse his nickname is KKK kevin the Killer Kat, I mean no wonder his lost his marbles poor moggy. still think he should be called Gabriel after the angel just look at his cutie little mush xxxxxxxxx Julie x x xx x
LOL - we were watching the film 'UP' and the gorgeous bird was called Kevin by Russell and we decided we loved the name so much that when we got a cat, he would be saddled - ooops named Kevin. He swishes his tail in disgust at anything he is called - we have it sussed, he was reborn a cat and actually wanted to be something or somebody else. We have a few names on the list as to who he was in a former life LOL :)xx

I was wandering about that thought it might have come from your army days.
My name was picked for me by my husband. Its because life for me is all about dogs. They have always been there for me throughout the deepest darkest and most painful parts off my life. One little dog in particular saved me many years ago. Mind you I absoloutly adore cats too.looking forward to hearing more replys

Well, I've always been Libby, although I'm Elizabeth. Apparently, from me trying to say my name when first learning to talk, Elibbybeth! Could have been worse, my brother when learning to talk, called me Liftabath!!
I should hope not John, it is full of witches and wizards and sheep and...er...enough said.
Bobby
I think koalas are really sweet but what made me choose it was the tailless squirrel who used to live in my mum's garden. When he was high up in a tree he looked like a mini koala and loads of people used to stand staring at him wondering how on earth he got to Surbiton LOL.
I love squirrels too, both the red and grey ones. xxxx
I picked nowheeze, cause I don't have a wheeze...how boring is that ....

I couldn't think of an alias for a while. I rejected loads coz they didn't mean anything to me. The name Hypercat popped into my head and it seemed to sum me up. I love cats and I am always fidgiting and can't sit still for long. I used to be more hyper before I got lung problems and was always running around from here to there!
I was Executive Bars Manager at the Grand Hotel, Torquay 25 years
South West Regional Chairman of the United Kingdom Bartenders Guild 16 years
My forte was inventing cocktails(140+)giving cocktail demonstrations all over the country, entering cocktail competitions,TV & Radio appearances
I have just entered my book 'My life with cocktails' for the Duke of Edinburgh inspired 'Discoverry Awards' (silver) for the over 55's,one of four categories.
I picked mine because I wanted one with something to do with what COPD does to you. Getting puffed out, etc. Most of the common ones had already been used so I looked further afield !
My name is Pauline and a work colleague always called me Polly, she arranged a blind date for me with her husbands friend, they were always playing practical jokes on each other and he thought his date might be with a parrot in a cage.
The joke was on them we have been married 26 years and he always calls me pol.
Mine's just from my initials, P&G. My husband used to put them together to call me Peeg, or sometimes fruitcake! I like to think I'm more sophisticated than a fruit cake though (mistakenly I'm sure) so Peeg it is.
Nice blog BTW. Names are very important, a friend of mine calls me Plops, I can't think why....... my actual name is longer then the norm and most people can't be bothered which, if I'm really honest, upsets me a bit. X
I have no imagination so mine is simply an anagram of my name.
Gail
mine was meant to be psoriasis, something I have a little of but number three son has it very badly, I wanted to hightlight it and also show him it is not something he has to hide from -
I use it here and anywhere that asks for a avator name. But my real nickname is chatty cathy, my Dad gave me that one - and thats what my family call me. My cousins all call me Cathy. Now I have no idea why they thought I could talk for the world but ...... ok biting lip to shut myself up , .. lol
Everyone has got lovely reasons for their nicknames. Spritz was a nickname we gave to one of our cats ( her real name was Spircle)

Hi...back in Dec 04 I was asked if I would like to have a kitten and I was immediately given the name of Caspurr for him. I was also given the name Fourpaws for me to use as a Spiritual Medium. Over the years since then I have had it shortened by those I teach to just Paws and that is has stayed to date More people know me as Paws and it has become just a 'normal' name for me. My birth name is Etienne. Luv'n'hugs ... Paws XXX

Etienne is such a beautiful name. Is that caspurr in the pic?
Love Julie xx x

sorry mean't to also say is Etienne french?
xx
yes to both hon... he is fast approaching 9 but still has the kitten in him sometimes... Etienne is the french for Stephen and I was known as that for years but thought I would revert to Etienne once I started doing my spiritual work. So I am known as both Paws and Etienne.

I love the name stephen but then I would because thats what I named my son, it's weird but I always knew if I ever had a son he would be called that but could not come up with a girls name at that time. I wonder how many off us actually like the birth names were given and would we change it ?
Love Julie x xx x
