I have brochiestasis just finished a course of antibiotics. I have tingling in my arms and hands. Has anyone had this experience before?

Yep I Have Same Condition .... Will Get Use To It :)

Teddyd. I suffer from the same condition, and have had loads of antibiotics. I haven't suffered tingling ever, but think it best to check out with either your nurse, GP or ring BLF 0300030555 and speak to the nurse, just to be on the safe side. All the best Annieseed xx

Thanks for everyone's comments.

Hi teddyd,

Tingling in the fingers and arms could be connected to a neck problem but also can be a symptom of other condition/s, if this has come on suddenly check with NHS direct especially so if you start to get a worsening of symptoms.

If its something you have had for some time check in with your doctor.

Or as suggested check with the BLF helpline.

In the notes that came with one of my antibiotics there was a note in the side effects that it could cause tingling in the arms and hands. Might be worth a check.

I've just been diagnosed with Brochiectasis and get tingling & pins & needles in my arms and legs all the time.

Since being referred to an neurologist I've had two EMG's (nerve conduction tests) and a MRI scan on my neck but nothing conclusive has shown up. There was a suspicion it could be Motor Neurone Disease so imagine my relief when the 2nd extended EMG did not confirm that possibility.

The jury's still out and I'm still counting my blessings, while I tingle.
