And already my breathing is better. Can't say the same for my muscles they hurt so much. It is reminiscent of limbering up for the school athletic season. I have trouble walking DOWN stairs because my thighs hurt so much. It must be doing me good!!!

On my second week of of rehab
I have asked for pulmonary rehab, and anxious to go along. My mobility needs to be a lot better. Did you have to wait a long time, love annieseed x
No it took about three weeks. some of the people on with me walk with two sticks
I am going to ask for rehab when I next see consultant. Everyone seems to benefit and it sounds great fun. Is it relatively easy to get on a course or should my mother have put my name down when I was born? Alison
I live in Gloucestershire too, it took about three months for me, they are based at GRH. You don't have to wait to see the consultant as your doctor or respiratory nurse can refer you. Keep smiling.

Thank you Carole, I do not have a respiratory nurse as yet. I will be seeing consultant in about 3 weeks so i might still have a word with him. Faffing about probs with GP. As no one had a definitive diagnosis for me, I am finding it tricky to say, "I have blah so i wondered if this, that and the other would be helpful for that condition". I have come to the conclusion that if they are going to do anything other than "monitor" my condition I have to do all the leg work. Thank you for letting me know it is held at the GRH. That is something I know I can ask for and it exists! Don't know if we have anything like a respiratory nurse at the surgery but it is only from reading blogs and comments that I even knew they existed. Thank you very much for your help Alison
Can't wait for my husband to start his course - he had one two years ago and he was so much better when he finished. Didn't keep up the exercise, needs it again! Well done. TAD xx
That's great, all you learn on the course is a life time commitment if you want to enjoy a greater quality of life. Eventually muscles will become stronger and more flexible and discomfort after exercise will be a thing of the past, as you age you will be less inclined to fall, break bones and generally will enjoy better health.
Well done and keep up the good work.
I agree, am on my 4th week, brilliant, my breathing is so much better and I feel fitter, my muscles hurt to begin with but that does go after a while, I never thought I would be doing as well as I am at this stage, I do some of the exercises at home too and will carry on with them after the course has finished, my PR does a once a week maintanance as well so that will be good, carry on enjoying yours, keep well.
Best wishes
