I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who’s messaged to give me some advice, I’ve felt like I’m going mad sometimes and that I’m the only one going through this, its such a relief that I can try all your suggestions if the doctor just say to me to persevere.
Thank you all so very much. 🤗

I read your thread, Rach, but had nothing to add to the excellent advice given. All I’ll say is, my daughter was exactly the same at 2yrs old, we were tearing our hair out, cough cough cough 24/7. Quite often, she slept through most of it (we didn’t, obv) and it didn’t often really wake her, but she did find it tiring & had frequent chest infections. We found a constant temp of about 18° worked best. Personally I wouldn’t open her window at night, but definitely prop her pillows up.
Our daughter improved greatly as she grew & by about 15 only needed her blue inhaler.
Oh, just a thought - you could try bed risers just at the head end of the bed. Usually they’re about 15cm tall; unfortunately they come in packs of 4, tho you only need 2. They just raise the head a bit, so she won’t slip down so much cos you won’t need as many pillows. Also great for post-nasal drip, if that’s a factor x
