Finally got CT scan result today

Phone consult with Consultant this morning with CT scan result from 23rd April. Finally, after nearly 12 months of constant productive cough, they tell me that I have bronchiectasis! I have been almost shouting at the medics that it has NOT felt like an asthma flare-up, now we know why! I am really relieved to get a diagnosis. Its only a mild case and a barrage of blood tests are being ordered to keep my GP busy. Have done my research and the British Lung Foundation website has been really useful. My asthma treatment regime is being left as it is for now. Lesson I learned was to keep prodding the doctors and not taking no for an answer.
