I have been using Aarane (inhaler with Cromoglicic Acid disodium salt) in Germany and had ever since no seriouse Asthma Attacks. I am running now out of the inhaler (I bought it with a private prescription from my UK GP online in Germany). My new GP now says he can't do this.Is there anything in UK available that contains the product please.

Have you tried the brand intal? That’s a cromoglicic acid inhaler available in the UK. Also have you had an asthma review to properly set up your meds? We will have a different system for asthma control and treatment so an appt for ‘transitioning’ meds from Germany brands to british may be useful, plus you can get an understanding on how things work here. I also advise giving the AUK team a call as they should be able to answer any of your questions

Hope that helps

Just to add on to Emma’s reply I’m on the intal inhaler (which seems to have the same active ingredient) and haven’t had any problems with getting it prescribed here 😊 but it’s not very well known - my consultant and the pharmacists had to do a bit of digging to find it when the one they wanted to prescribe wasn’t available
