is it best to take your morning preventative inhaler before breakfast or after breakfast or does it a make no difference. I’ve seen different options of this and are unsure what is best, can anyone help please.

Before or After
Always before breakfast so I can rinse out my mouth and brush my teeth. This helps to prevent oral thrush. I use Fostair nexthaler 200/6.
Thank you for the response, that's a good point about brushing teeth afterwards.
I must say that taking my inhaler this morning before breakfast I found that I didn't have the normal problem of a bit of a rough throat, presumably caused by my dry powder inhaler.
Hi DenBoy70. I take mine before breakfast at 8.30 when my meds alarm goes off. One is 24hrs and the other is 12hr gap time. Breakfast for me can be any time of the day, can even been brunch some days so this would not work for me.
Thanks Blue-Breeze, it does seem that taking the inhaler before breakfast is the right way and worked better for me when I tried it this morning.
I don't know if it makes a difference. I do know that mine lasts 12 hours so try to take it at the same time each morning & night regardless of whether I've eaten or not. I always rinse & gargle both before and after inhaling. I rinse before to ensure I'm not inhaling any food residue in to lungs & to dilute any medication landing on mouth/throat. Probably a bit ocd but that's what I do.
Thank you for your feedback.
I think as far as asthma is concerned OCD is not a bad thing.
