It looks like I am being taken off mepo - after a promising start my FENO is still over 100 even with a low dose of pred.
I have had no pred since Aug - I put over a stone on and they were responsible for my low mood. I am struggling a bit now as it is getting colder but I refuse to take any more steroids.
I have been told their are other things they can try. This happened to anybody else?

If you’re QoL has drastically improved and you’re off steroids and a lot less flares is worth questioning why you’ve been taken off of it. FENO isn’t actually very reliable at stating how good/bad your asthma is (I tend to score higher after an a&e trip than before... and will also score high if I have a cold even if not affecting lungs)
There are other options out there (I’m in benralizumab) but if you weren’t getting side effects and it was working it’s definitely worth fighting to stay on it. I do not feel like FENO is a valid reason to stop it
I am sure they have mentioned benralizumab. Disappointingly I have had to take 15mg of pred today - my breathing was not great and my sinuses were stuffy. I felt better after.
My eosiniphils are still very high - I am coming off mepo in the new year. I knew that this would happen - once my pred was reduced to 20mg a day I struggled.
