Montelukast (Singulair) is probably the drug you are thinking of.

Careful. Don't have any signs of mold or water damage around you. They tend to trigger eosinophils.

Thank you. I never thought of that as a trigger before.

At water damage sites there's a variety of microbes, among them are mold, fungi, bacteria, virus, VOCs, mVOCs and all of the gaseous compounds they emit as they digest substrate. You'll see everywhere in medical literature they have found regularly virus triggers eosinophils and exacerbates asthma. I'm unsure why medical doctors aren't taught as much about these perils as say vets are taught about mycotoxicosis in association with animals and feeding them. Ultimately microbial contamination definitely kills human tissue, it's simply the dose that determines affect coupled with their genetic strengths or susceptibility.

So in a nutshell you know you're hypersensitive, so don't be the person to clean this up and if it needs to be you buy a proper respirator, wear gloves and protective clothing, or have professionals clean or remediate.

You may find some help with Quercetin, luteolin and rutin. They're flavonoids that settle mast cells. But really your mast cells are mounting an ongoing response, they sound like they're doing a great job, but may simply be overwhelmed and over burdened.

Get as much fresh air a possible. Stop using an HVAC system unless you're sure it's fully contaminated or new. Employ accelerated drying techniques to the bathroom. Use a squeagy to take excess water and finish drying with a towel, leave exhaust fan on 30 mins. That will eliminate one massive source of regular mold.

Put the plugs in your sinks and use a silicone bowl cover for the waste drains you prevent the biofilms found in these locations from contributing to your problems. In hospitals sinks can't be in operating rooms as the patients die or bacterial infections. The beds closest to sinks on the ward have highest incidents of infection, sickness and subsequent death. They will house things that definitely bother your sensitive lungs, but do take heart, avoidance is key and you can reduce, avoid and minimize at the least. x
