Albuterol is a stimulant and may increase your heart rate a bit. Personally I don't notice it, if it does for me at all. Taking easy breaths, a hot drink (but not coffee), and trying to relax are all good ideas. It could just be a little anxiety from the asthma, that is natural especially if you are new to it.
