A day after using cilit bang, I got a really sore throats and horrible dry cough and asthma got worse but I never got these symptoms whilst using it. Do you think I've had a reaction to it?

Sometimes reactions get worse over time, so take a while to show. I can’t use perfumed/chemical smelling household products or I have an asthma flare, which is sometimes not immediate.

As it happened more often, I began to recognise the reduced lung capacity before the wheezy bit came on. A reliever inhaler helps but best of all, avoid the smelly cleaners....there are other ways to clean, such as white vinegar, Ecover products also don’t affect me.

Hope that helps 🌸

It is possible, but it could also be a co-incidental viral infection. If it clears up withtin a short period then less likely to be an infection. Although if the smell of the cleaner lingers then that may continue to aggravate your respiratory system.

Like Yazty I can't tolerate ordinary over the counter scented cleaning products or strong chemicals and smells. Many of them having a warning sign on the back of them saying strong chemical use in ventiltated space or beware irritant. But because they are in everyday use we tend not to think about it! Hope you feel better soon.
