Relaxation

I have suffered from asthma since I was about 21. I am just had a rough time with my asthma as I was trying to get my intolerance to new pollen stable, to keep my asthma stable it was a tricky task but I managed it. I also found out I had a slight chest infection. I tried to relax to recovery from my chest infection, landed up with bruised ribs. I wrote to help me relax and recovery. I would like to know to know how others relax when they are recovering from being ill

I also struggle to relax. Candy crush helps me as does doing a crossword. There's also an app I've downloaded called Calm that's free and has breathing exercises that help sometimes. Good luck!

Relax is the wrong thing. Reduction from high tension is a better way. Moving well is what you need to aim for.

The body has a means of doing things that modifies what you want to achieve. Relax muscle in one place and you could get very tense muscle in another.

Someone said over 2000 years ago. "It is easier to see the spec of dust in someone else's eye than the plank in your own." You are going to need someone else to tell you if you are over tense or not.

Rest rest. I am relaxing, watching tv, Netflix, online chess, reading, lots of hot drinks, thermos with very diluted hot rybina to sip from, mini hot water bottle on my ribs (not too hot), muscle rub on painful ribs, potter around house for gentle exercise, siesta 30 mins afternoon, hot steamy showers great in morning.

Feel worse in evening and difficulty getting off to sleep (not flat 😩), worried that I won't sleep properly again, so then I don't ! 😩
