CQC registered Care Agency

Hi

Does anyone else have care provided from a CQC registered Care Agency?

Does anyone else have all there medications listed on a MARS sheet?

What do people do for inhalers taken out side of care visit times? Do you self sign MARS sheet or leave it blank? Should I ask for two MARS sheets from pharmacy one for me and one for care agency? At the moment it looks like I am missing doses but I am not.

I know of these sheets, but I haven’t heard specifically of that one. I used to be good at knowing about this stuff, but no more. It was a while ago.

However, I would think (could be wrong) that the point of those sheets is for the carers to demonstrate what they have done to the next person, but it is also important to know exactly what you have taken. Could you not discuss with the care agency which way would be the best. Who commissions the care agency? You or the local authority? If the local authority there should also be a care manager and perhaps you also could discuss with him/her? In the meantime keep your own additional records so it is somewhere, perhaps kept in the same place as the carers’ records.
