How do I get them to take me seriously?

Firstly, I should mention that my asthma isn't severe, it's a moderate pain in the butt at the worst of times, but i've always managed: my issue at the moment is my family, I recently moved back in with my family after they decided they wanted to relocate. (They asked me to come for financial backup.)

I love them, and usually we get on great but i've noticed that they don't often consider my condition when they fill the house with plug in scent dispensors, my brother vapes so much I thought he was having a Thomas the Tank convention upstairs - they often use aerosols, dry shampoos, spray on varnish ect without giving me a heads up and leave me stressed and wheezing some mornings. (I've taken to leaving the windows open.) I've already brought these issues up, but it goes right back to how it was a few days later and i'm tired, honestly, it's less the asthma at this point and more the insult at how easily my family disregard my health.

(They've done the same in regards to my allergies, bringing a dog in the day I was due to move back, and other stuff that isn't relevant to the post.)

If anyone else has experienced issues like this I would really appreciate some advice, i'm tired of being the 'complainer'.

Hi, Sorry to read this about your family. If they want you back home for financial reasons then really they need to make the place as comfortable as possible. I think you need to sit down with them and explain what is happening and why it’s aggravating your condition. Dogs are ( in my opinion as a dog owner) lovely but they do bring a constant trail of ‘reminders’ with them.. dog hair everywhere, mud from walkies and unseen stuff like dander. You need to make sure the dog does NOT go in your room and beyond that, that the house is hoovered regularly. I expect you have to do your share of house tidying but clearing up after the dog would really bug me. (Don’t get me wrong, I love my own dog to the moon and back but I don’t expect others to love him too.)

So perhaps you should tell them firmly how unbearable they are making things and consider finding , if need be, somewhere else to live. Good luck.
