School's back...which means I have 30 9-year-olds to keep under control & no time to even make a jam butty ;) I'll still book my flu jab though! I miss August already :D

Respect to you an amazing teacher. As for the jam butty I would love to send you one but it would get very flat. 🍪

It’s always been my favourite season for so many reasons: the colours; that nip in the air; the morning mists with the sun trying to break through creating subtle shades of coloured light; bejewelled spider webs ...

On the downside it does mean that sometime in the near future my asthma meds will need to be increased:-(

Remember to thoroughly dust your radiators. Ours have been off since May so I gave them a really good going over yesterday prior to the heating coming back on. So far so good - no problems:-).

I have notice the increase in the stuffiness I feeling in my nose (haven't had this since May) along with the constant nasal drip I have. I think its the tree pollen. Any recommendation on how to dust my radiators?

You can get radiator brushes (great for getting down between all the radiator fins) from hardware stores - that’s where I got mine:-). I always damp my brush before using it to help prevent any dust from flying everywhere as I bring the brush back out and I tend to do all the radiators shortly before they I switch them on (so that the heat helps to evaporate any excess moisture). Don’t forget to dust between the back of the radiator and the wall either. No matter how hard you try you won’t get all of it (I always notice a hint of dust burning smell when the radiators go on) but you can help to limit it significantly.

I’ve been increasingly snuffly over the past few days as well (and it doesn’t feel like a cold) enough for me to be reaching for the nasal spray. I wondered whether it might be the beginning of the mould/fungal spore season that was doing it. Not felt the need to increase the asthma meds yet (fingers crossed). It also started before the radiators went back on, so I can’t really blame them either.

Hi thanks for the advice on cleaning radiators. I went to the doctors about my sniffy nose and I got a small polyic again so back on the drops for a month and then nasal spray for two weeks. There is no funding to remove polyic but to be honest I don't fancy that much.
