Hi, Today I went by plane after long time , and when the plane took off I had a nasty panic attack .I’ve never had such thing or fear of plane .can this thing be related with asthma or the asthma treatment? I have asthma for like 3 years and never went by plane since .I would appreciate any advice or experience sharing.thank you!

Panic attacks are really just a bit of a 'brain overload' warning; when you are trying to deal with too many things & your brain enters a sort of crisis mode (probably linked to fight/flight instinct whereby adrenalin increases, heart rate increases, etc.). If you haven't flown for a long time, you might have just had a natural anxiety about it, but assuming you've had your asthma diagnosis since you last flew, I can imagine that you might have started to worry about the impact of flying on your breathing.
Hopefully, the flight passed off smoothly, you recovered & had no adverse breathing problems, & next time you'll feel a lot more at ease.
