It didn’t seem to suit me when I was using it. I felt as though it was irritating my lungs, but that may have just been me (or imagined). Spraying anything alien into your lungs will possibly have some irritant effect as well as - hopefully - a ‘greater’ beneficial effect.

Gather Steroid Inhalers don’t deliver maximum benefits before 4 to 8 Weeks of daily use, which may lead a Patient to conclude that it’s not helping them if only a short period of daily use has elapsed. But check with your GP / Pharmacist on how long it should take to work.

Some of the more recent inhaled steroids may prove more suitable for some patients, for example, if its found that one which delivers a smaller (or different) particle size is more suited to a particular patient.

Recall reading somewhere that better results might occur if a Patient could inhale a mix of different particle sizes, but believe that the closest you could aspire to that goal is if your Medical Professional prescribed more than one steroid inhaler (very unlikely to happen). Believe each Steroid Inhaler offers only a single particle size (i.e. there isn’t one that delivers a mixture of particle sizes - as far as I’m aware).

What did you choose when clencil didn't work?

As my issues with Clenil coincided with worsening asthma I ended up on Fostair. It’s a duel inhaler that contains a Long Acting Beta Agonist (LABA) so is unlikely to be the Preventer your GP would offer you (as, presumely, you don’t need a LABA, just a Steroid Inhaler). There are a few Steroid Only inhalers your GP might decide to prescribe if you’ve given the Clenil a fair chance, by using it every day for a number of weeks.
