They must know you have asthma so why not tell them the basement is a bit damp for you as it's setting it off. If there is no where that isn't damp could you move out? x

Hi Lene-Alice

My asthma is very effected by damp and I make myself a cup of ginger and lemon tea, sweetened with honey. Buy some fresh ginger root and cut a piece about an inch or so in size. Peel it and grate and put into a cup

Add fresh lemon and honey and pour on boiling water. Let is stand for 5 minutes or so and then strain it into another cup and drink.

The heat from the ginger helps to take away the damp that is in your lungs. I swear by it.

It's obviously difficult, but you need to get away from the damp. It's obviously a trigger for you, so you need to deal with it & avoid your holiday deteriorating. I'm sure your family understand, but even if they don't you have to protect yourself regardless.
