Is this prednisone withdrawal symptoms?

Is it normal to have the symptoms of hyperactive mind, breaking out emotionally, getting angry after stopping 40 mg of prednisone of 2 wks course? Any advise would be really appreciated on how to deal with the symptoms.

It's not unknown, but in my experience it fades. Sometimes the pred kind of exaggerates the tensions already fuelling the attack. You'd need to see your GP to be sure.

Hi .... yes it is very common to have issues with moods/emotions..... including mania and depression.... highs and lows.

But usually with short courses 1 - 2 weeks you should be fine and things will get back to normal fairly soon. It could also be steroid withdrawl symptoms.

P.s. I’ve been on 25mg daily for nearly 3 years now and am probably dependent, but they keep me going..
