Well it is now 4 days since I escaped hospital, taking things steadily at the moment. A few ups and down and so far. I was wondering what other asthmatics recovery process and times were like.
A few more details of my recovery so far and my thoughts in general on recovering from a bad attack are on my blog
Be kind to yourself, take it easy, and take your time. It sounds like you have a horrible time every time you have an asthma attack.
I find that there is only one pace of life which suits our chronic condition and is that pace that we as individuals who suffer from this condition have to find and live our lives according to.
I like Ur blog I'm suffering now it's horrible I see Ur from Scunthorpe or like Scunthorpe I'm going to upset u now I'm originally from Grimsby I bet that upset Ur astma joke but I hope u get better it's scary but never mind b positive take care xx
Thank you for this! And your blog. I haven’t had your experiences, but I certainly have experienced the post attack frustration bit, big time!! I am relatively new to all this, and it is good to hear how it is for others. It helps me worry less, become more philosophical, when I hear others struggle with versions of the same.
After years of controlled asthma, I had my first attack a month ago and hospital visit. I had 2 weeks off work, with hindsight should have been more, and I am still exhausted by the end of the day. Even a decent walk is out of the question. Thanks for the blog. Good to hear that this is 'normal'!
