can montelukast lower your white blood cells?

I know motelukast reduces the inflammation in your lungs.

Hi I take this medication for my allergic asthma too. I have another condition which when in flare up (painful bladder syndrome) raises my white blood cell count. I get my urine dip tested if I have a flare up in case its an UTi and needs antibiotics. So I would say No in my case.

Hi Julie Victoria just though I would come back to this subject because what came up in my blood test over week. High white blood cell count (due to the pednisolone I taking now) possibility according to consultant. But more important I am in the end of a flare up so body sensitive anyway and having a real possibility of confirmation by blood test for allergic asthma.Tbc.

I hope that your dosage of monkelaust really works for you, it does for me. Getting you through times when there is a lot of your allegiance in the air etc.

My asthma nurse said it was either work or it won't in a matter of weeks/month. That was over 18 month ago and have know it does for me. Just one of things I take in my asernal of medication. Seretide/flixode.

Sorry for long post brain fuelled by pednisolone course.

So you don't wheeze you can't have asthma? Did the consultant do any testing on you breathing test? What did he base his opinion on? I can't believe he said you don't wheeze you don't have asthma? ! I having the full work up for mine blood test for allergies done over two weeks ago, breathing tests and an appointment late January. The consultant did question me on my diagnosis but that was 12 years ago and I don't remember much about it. I am hoping he looks at my doctor notes.

No wheeze is not that uncommon. I have wheeze when I had my first attack 2 years ago this month. My peak flow can drop but no this time. Answer It's Probably My Small Airways That are effected and yes I been proper poorly as my mum would say.

Just don't know why it's this way for you. If it is asthma that's brilliant. God bless
