Bedding for child Asthma sufferer
No feathers duck or down as this could make him worse. Microfibre is fine. The same with the pillows. Wash or replace pillows at least every 6 months as they are major harbourers of dust mites. Wash all bedding frequently in at least 60% to kill dust mites. Use mattress protectors and vacuum the mattress as well. x
plain cotton sheets
Hello Laitken,, I use pure cotton duvet covers, sheets etc so I can wash them on a high temp., also have hollow fibre duvet/pillows. I also have an old chest freezer in the garage and I put my duvet/pillows etc in their for a few days to try to kill all the dust mites (no idea if this is an old wives tale but I still do it!) may be worth putting any cuddly / fluffy toys in as well if you can. Have you considered hard flooring in your little ones bedroom...not sure if that's possible or not. Rx
