No feathers duck or down as this could make him worse. Microfibre is fine. The same with the pillows. Wash or replace pillows at least every 6 months as they are major harbourers of dust mites. Wash all bedding frequently in at least 60% to kill dust mites. Use mattress protectors and vacuum the mattress as well. x

plain cotton sheets

Hello Laitken,, I use pure cotton duvet covers, sheets etc so I can wash them on a high temp., also have hollow fibre duvet/pillows. I also have an old chest freezer in the garage and I put my duvet/pillows etc in their for a few days to try to kill all the dust mites (no idea if this is an old wives tale but I still do it!) may be worth putting any cuddly / fluffy toys in as well if you can. Have you considered hard flooring in your little ones bedroom...not sure if that's possible or not. Rx
