Another thought that has been spinning around my head during prednisolone insomia is
why are government so keen to get everyone in there own homes?
If each individual is in their own home then each individual will need money to pay for the home, the bills, and the care they need.
Why are individuals being asked to stay in there own homes?
Surely this will lead to people becoming prisoners and isolated and depressed?
I am currently in my own home with an asthma exacerbation I have only seen the community matron, morrions food delivery and my personal assistant in the last seven days.
I am sure a prisoner in a prison cell sees more humans?!
One word 'Money'. It is a lot cheaper for the Government to go on about community care and not fund it than to find the money to keep people in hospital or other forms of care.
I am so sorry you are in this position and I hope you find some proper help. x

there is no proper help. the best you can have is your own home. i just do not agree it is the best option nor do i agree with it being the cheapest.
I know it says Silver Line but there is no age limit. Sometimes it helps to talk to someone. They may be able to point you in the direction of more support. Good luck.
I've been saying this for years! There are older people living alone in homes they can't really afford & they are desperately lonely. Meanwhile some of the younger generation can't afford to buy a home. If decent accommodation could be provided for these older people they could move out & free up a home for younger people while themselves having better access to care & the company of others. It's a win-win! Also I can't believe it's economical to have nurses etc. sitting in traffic jams for half the day!
But I don’t want to leave my own home! My asthma generally gets worse away from home....very sensitive to household perfumes of all sorts -usually starts with the highly perfumed smell of ‘clean’ sheets! I do like company though and that can be a problem, I know. Phone calls are good. In these times of texting, calls are few. Having said that, a long call provokes asthma for me. Ha! Can’t win! Still rather be at home though.
