Hi 161724

It depends on what the treatment is? If he is on steroid tablets (prednisolone) and has been prescribed the little white tablets that are difficult to dissolve (but it’s possible) they don't taste nice and lots of kids do vomit it up straight away. Soluble prednisolone are pinky/red and dissolve into a pink colour and taste bitter but slightly better than the white ones, but more expensive, which is why many places are insisting we dissolve the white, chalky ones.

Some antibiotic liquids taste horrible and the kids vomit them.

If you'd like to talk more in-depth about medicationfor your son then please call our asthma nurses on our helpline on 0300 222 5800 (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm).

Thanks,

Dita
