Health anxiety is playing up again..scared about my asthma😞

Hi sorry to hear your worrying. I have been very much in the same boat recently. I had a telephone assessment today in order to try and get some help with this. Have you spoken to your gp or asthma nurse about it? They may be able to give you some numbers of people who can help. Xx

I'm not trying to be funny Shannon but I think you would get more help and understanding on the anxiety sites rather than on here. Your asthma isn't the main issue - your anxiety is.

We can't say anything to you about your asthma that we haven't said before over and over again. I will repeat it though. Any problems with your asthma you need to make an appointment with your asthma nurse.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that you are worried about your asthma, is it anything specific or just in general. I too have Asthma and also Emphysema. I just get on with life as normal and don't spend time worrying about it. I just always make sure I have taken all my meds before I go out anywhere and make sure I always have a working up to date reliever inhaler with me when I go out. That's all we can do and all we need to do. Apart from that our fate is in the hands of the Gods. Don't let having this condition get you down, remember you have asthma, asthma doesn't have you xx

Hi ....I know the feeling as I too have health Anxiety...it took me a long time to realise the more you worry the more you focus on your asthma...the worse your asthma gets ....I know it's hard but try finding a solution that suits you ....my asthma is playing up today because of the heat and rain so my solution is take more inhaler if I need it ...I know it's hard for people who don't have health anxiety to understand......the more you relax the easier it is xx
