Hi Aqua65 ,
Welcome to the forum. I hope you find it a useful place to share your experience and gain tips from other community members.
We know that some people feel they benefit from taking complementary therapies such as lungwort to help manage their asthma, but more high quality studies are needed to make a clear judgement about whether lungwort is likely to help you with your asthma. If you do decide to try it, make sure you talk to your GP about it first — and don't stop taking your prescribed medicines.
Take care,
Dita

Many thanks for your reply
No but be sure of your asthma triggers. Most herbal remedies cause asthma for me, but we're all different, of course. I'm sensitive to salicylates, which occur in many small fruits and herbs, amongst other things....they keep the plant safe from insect predictors while growing. Also in ibuprofen and aspirin, so that will be your clue. If these cause asthma beware of high or very regular doses of herbs. I'm finding high doses of vitamin D a possible help though. Certainly having a better time this year, along with an air purifier in my bedroom for a couple of hours each night. Not well enough to reduce inhalers etc but no prednisone since January...good for me....usu taking it every month in winter and every two or three months in summer. Good luck 🍀
Be very careful. Drugs and Medicines (including over the counter ones) aren't licensed for public use until they've passed long and arduous tests (which often take years). Herbal remedies are not required to pass such tests. The quality of their manufacturing facilities are not anywhere near as closely scrutinised, nor are the qualifications of most of those who make such preparations. The strength and ingriendients may vary from batch to batch and even a small variation in potency can result in toxicity. If a particular preparation had any real merit, a household name manufacturer would have dived in and be supply supermarkets and pharmacy chains with an equivalent product.
