Coughing

Hi all I keep getting coughing fits followed by wheezing it's been going on for weeks and can't seem to shake it off much worse at night, not seeing the asthma nurse until March so would like to know if there is anything I can do in the meantime

Hi, quarter to two in the morning, and know how you feel. I get up take a couple of secret blue inhalations which seems to solve the problem. I'm not sure whether the advent if the cough wakes me up, or the waking up suddenly.

What a pain! I know how you feel - I would rather be asleep now. If I were you, I'd see if I could make an appointment sooner - perhaps with the GP. I'm holding out for Tuesday when I'm due to see the resp. consultant. Hope you soon feel better.

I would try to see your Nurse or Doctor earlier if you can rather than wait till March. I assume the March appointment is a regular review? If so, go earlier.

Coughing at night and wheezing even when taking the inhalers as directed means the asthma is not controlled.

Get an appointment as soon as you can. Don't wait.

Sorry you have had a rough winter. Did you have a chat with the helpline they will give you good guidance. I do that when I feel down considering another trip to the GP , because they see the bigger picture, the Asthma picture..

Hi try gaviscon its amazing for troublesome coughs as sometimes its caused by reflux and you dont know youve got it
