Feeling confused
Hi sarah they do feel very much the same what id say try some relaxation things like breathing inthrough nose out mouth try that for little bit to calm it if not use inhalers
Awww thank u very much for the advice hay am gonna try that I need to get back to work been in the sick since November x
I think worrying about work can make u breathless i go back fri after a month and im stressing
Awww ano it takes a while to get back into it what do u do hay I have worked in emi nursing for 12 years and first time been on the sick x
And youve had alot to get your head around no wonder your a bit anxious your doing really well just dont put to much pressure on yourself to go back as youll make yourself ill xx
A panic attack probably won't respond to a preventer inhaler whereas asthma generally will. Be aware though that anxiety and panic can be triggers for asthma so always try an inhaler if you feel short of breath.
Thank u minushabens ive always suffer with panic attacks when am stressed am just a stress head ha x
Well many of us are, but panic attacks are no laughing matter. I don't know what help you've had, but see if your GP can recommend any talking therapy service (generally much better than tablets for this sort of thing). Have you tried Kalms as well? They are herbal I think but my son swears by then to get on a plane (of which he is utterly terrified) & I know of other people that have used them to modify panic attacks.
Am starting counselling next week only started having me panic attacks really bad since I come out of icu and I will try the kalms thanks for advice
Yes rescue remedy is really good as well
Thank u hay how r u hope ur good x
Im not to bad waiting for operation on 4th april for reflux should be good then all your worry comes at same time though your ill then worry about being off so you wanna go back then worry if it will make you ill i really understand
Ano want to go back but been of a couple Of months now awwww r u having an opp for reflux my granddaughter has got that she's only 7 weeks old hopefully she will grow out of it glad ur ok any way hay xx
Dont rush back to work take it easy sarah enjoy your grand daughter xx
To be fair an asthma attack would make u panic try some relaxation techniques or meditation it will help to calm u in time u will get to know your asthma and how it presents talk to tour gp and asthma nurse get alk the support u can take care mary
Thanks for advice xx
7-11 breathing helps a panic attack but won't work with an asthma attack
Sorry about that.
Yes, they can seem alike (panick and asthma).
Take note of triggers for allergy as well as triggers for stress.
It does seem to confuse doctors but once they diagnose asthma then they can manage better. And also you will be more relaxed and less anxious about your symptoms knowing that it is bronchospasm that causes the weakness or breathlessness which in turn can make you panick.
Thank u am also allergic to dust strong cleaning products air freshnes put been having panic attacks more since I packed in smoking withdrawal I think x
Not sure about smoking withdrawal but that was a good decision.
I was a passive smoker. My neighbour used to smoke weed. I used to wonder why I would cough but figured it out eventually.
There was wood smoke as a factor as well.
