Back to consultant today, after another 4 weeks of being breathless and feeling really bad, medication increased over weeks steroids increased nebulising increased to no avail. I feel I'm just as I was this time last year b/4 ending up in hospital.

Thankfully I'm now being referred.

My question how long does a referral take?

Hi if you have already seen the consultant who are you being referred to? A different one? If it's that I wouldn't hold your breath for your appointment bearing in mind the state the NHS is in at the moment. I hope it's quick for your sake. x

No my local hospital consultant is referring me to the Brompton for further investigations as he is unable to support me any further, as my meds at present aren't working to relieve my breathlessness and constant coughing.
