Asthma and doctor said I have a chest infection but I am wondering if it's a blood clot because I have Factor V Leiden.

I went to my gp on Wednesday and she said that my chest was wheezy and rattley and I explained I was getting anything on and off pain in my right lung and diagnosed me with a chest infection but since then my cough has gotten worse and my lungs feel like they are on fire and the pain in my right lung is getting worse and at the same time I'm getting really bad pain on my left side of my ribcage just under my breast I have factor v Leiden but I'm a rare case a I have two of the gene which mean I'm even more likely to get a blood clot but I find it hard to stop coughing and the pain is unreal doctor knows about my condition but isn't concerned that it could but a blood clot.

Are you under a specialist for your genetic illness? If so ring them and explain what's going on. If you can't ring get yourself down to a&e. A simple chest X-ray is what you need. Take care
