I saw my asthma nurse today for a review. It turns out that my asthma is not well controlled at the moment. She has changed my seretide from the evohaler 250/25 twice a day to the accuhaler at dose 500/50 to be taken as one puff twice a day. Am I missing something here? The dose looks the same to me. She said the only way she could increase the seretide was to change me to the accuhaler. . any help would be gratefully received.

Yes, its the same dose just a different device. It's also about £20 per month cheaper. The current dose is the maximum amount of Seretide under it's current licence so increasing the dose in my opinion isn't really an option.
