Hi people, this is Imran khan, physiotherapist from UAE. I am new here on this blog and wish to contribute my views , I wish to share with all my friends and respected senior citizens that, go for walking in the morning( if you are allergic to morning dew, go in the evening) or in the evening, coz walking and deep breaths increase the life span of humans, just wear the mouth mask. Start slowly and pick the speed and control of breaths( Try to fill up your lungs than hold 2-3 seconds, than exhale it completely, make sure the lungs are flat and no air is left to exhale. Keep repeating it while walking and observe your steps( don't walk too fast). Stop eating junky food, fatty and oily foods, this can help in getting rid of condition like atherosclerosis( fat deposition in the arteries), so less fat deposition can aid blood carry more oxygen towards lungs. Start taking long and deep breaths.

Cheers.

Hi Imran,

Thank You for your ideas. In regards to the breathing, you may be interested in checking out the Buteyko method of breathing for Asthma. I have found it very interesting and helpful but I must admit I am not consistent enough to keep it up. Perhaps there are others out there who are more consistent than I am who may be able to speak more on it.
