Hi, I gave u smoking 2 years ago and have suffered from asthma symptoms ever since,anyone else heard of this? I've had a cat scan and my lungs have no smoke damage.

Hi I am glad you gave up smoking as this will only make your asthma worse. I have asthma too which the doctor told me was not caused by smoking but brought on by it.

It is common to get problems well after you have given up the evil weed but at least you haven't got anything like copd which is usually caused by smoking. Stay off the fags and you probably won't get that in the future thank goodness. I have copd now as well coz I didn't stop smoking.

Has your doctor given you any inhalers? The good news is that asthma symptoms are usally fully controlled by inhalers and there is no permanent damage. If you end up with copd it causes irrerversible damage to the lungs which is progressive. Stay well. x
