There are still other things your doctor could try. Ciclesonide (an add on steroid inhaler) seems popular, then there are oral steroids as you know, etc etc. Im on 22 drugs in total and really hope you never get to that point, but it shows there are lots of options! I hope youve managed to get some help now and are soon feeling much better.
Hope you've spoken to ooh at least. Won't lecture you as I'm sure you've been there, done that, got the t shirt lol.
I'm uncontrolled on a bucket load of stuff, also tried seretide, symbicort, fostair + ciclesonide. Now I'm on flutiform - it's a new drug and I'm on an unlicensed dose, but seems to be making a difference. Saying that I'm back in costa! Silly lungs and their stroppy ness!
I feel for you I really do, i have been unstable since August but I been told i on max treatment, just finishing antibiotics now, still not much better breathlessness burning sensation in the lungs generally feeling tired n exhausted. no support from family members so i too feeling low. Im supposed to be returning to work next week full time i wonder if my consultant will allow me I see him on the 6th Jan. I on 40 - 50 mg pred, 500 sere tide x2 daily 500 flixotide 2x daily, montelukast 10mg, fexofenidine 180mg 2 x daily, and treatment for the bones n tummy. Hope you feel better soon though homey x
