Hi

Maddie was diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency about 2 yrs ago. Her Cortisol was just 16. We were told they had expected it at around 700.

Anyway, due to her maintenance pred being reduced down, she was able to have a Synachen test done yesterday.

The results are: Baseline Cortisol - 136 (soo much better) and her response was normal in that with the hormone, it went up to 600.

Im so pleased. But confused!! Can anyone interpret these for me?? Is the baseline still low?? I think it is?? And if the response was 'normal' does that mean she has Adrenal Insufficiency still???? Or is it the baseline cortisol that determines that????

Im soooo confused. Whats the diffrence between the baseline being low and the response being normal?? What does this all mean????
