My 2 year old has brittle asthma......

Hello.....

My little man has been poorly again recently with his latest of over 15 admissions last week resulting in to nights in hdu and his consultant now says he has brittle asthma,

What does is a brittle asthmatic??

When doctors use the term 'brittle asthma' they mean that the asthma can change from being apparently well controlled to being poorly controlled in a short space of time.

I've never had any experience of asthma until my son was diagnosed with it so still learning all the terms at are bring used.
