singulair....

hi all my 7 yr old has been put on singulair 3 days ago, what i wanted to know was will this med take away my sons permanant cough, and what exactly will this med do for my sons ashtma and allergies , i have read all the info on the net about it but was wanting to know from some parents out there how its helped their child, also how long does it take to work ...thanks in advance

I was put on singulair 3 years ago nearly 4 now and i'm still on it now as 4 years ago my asthma deteriorated a lot it is still really bad now but it did control it for a bit. I still have to take my Symbicort 400/12 inhaler as a Smart inhaler and i am on anti-histamines for my allergies. For me it worked when i first got put onto it however, i think it has stopped working now. Hope this helps!

My son has been on it for about 4 years I think . I cannot honestly say whether it helps or not but he hasnt had any side effects so I keep on giving it him .
