Stomach spasms.

Why do i find that everytime i get out of breath (ie walking up stairs) as well as struggling to breath that my stomach seems to swell and become painful very hard and bloated. Is it like the lungs the muscles go into spasm and tighten up . I find they relax when the breathing eases. Confusing. Maybe i need a muscle relaxant. Must admit my asthma used to be better when i used to drink a lot years ago. Plus i am always belching up lots of air. The joys of asthma. Any ideas welcome. Doctor says i am swallowing air. Cons says watch your diet.

When my asthma has been bad my stomach always seems to bloat and I burp a lot. I've been told by the doctor that because my lungs cannot take in enough air it is going into my stomach instead. How that happens and how true it is I'm not sure. Someone else on here might know though.
