Has anyone got a email address for any of the nurses or even the admin at Heartlands Severe asthma unit?

You could try this:

severeasthma-birmingham.co....

I thought best to email the people rather than the internet place. I have the contact bits now

Heartlands

Hi you live near me Heartlamds is near where I live.

Hi Bizkid.

Apologies if you already have contact details for the team at Heartlands but just found my most recent clinic letter with contact details on it. The administrative co-ordinator is Julie Marsh her email is julie.marsh@heartofengland.nhs.uk or phone number for her is 0121 424 2172. Are you under the brittle asthma unit team at Heartlands as well, if so what do you think to them?

Hope you are ok anyway and enjoying the bank holiday weekend.

Bec xx

This was a very old post!

I am no longer under them!

Hi,

Sorry just noticed the date of when you actually posted the msg last yr sorry wasn't concentrating fully earlier and was just trying to help by posting contact info. Are you under a different specialist asthma unit now? Just wondered as I know myself and others on here have mixed opinions and experiences of the brittle asthma unit at Heartlands.

Regards

Bec

I am under the Diffcult Asthma Unit now at Southampton, its nearer home as when first was get asthma issues lived in Midlands and moved back 2 years ago just only got round to changing!

I have been at Heartlands for nearly 10 years now, and I have nothing but good things to say about everybody in the team.

When I've been going through a relatively good patch (in their eyes!), they've been quite hands-offish, but this has been more than made up by the great deal of attention and help I've received when very poorly. It has often been difficult to get a bed there, when they've offered to transfer me from my local, but the telephone and email support they've provided both to my doctors and directly to me during these acute episodes has been great. I'm on quite an unusual cocktail of drugs now, but for me it is working.

sorry others have mixed experiences.
