I use sudafed tablets when things get really bad, prescribed by GP. You can't use them for very long as they can actually make the problem worse. Might get you over the worse of the problem.

The other option is decongestant nasal sprays which can be better as they don't affect the whole body like tablets. I personally do't get on with them so prefer the sudafed.

Have you tried nasal washing? I use Sterimar spray which has been excellent in clearing congestion and has the benefit of just being saline. I think there have been other threads on this on the boards.

Hope you start to feel better.

Take care

hi kelly, for difficult times i use sudafed nasal spray, but a daily use of saline was (Ok, sea salt now) via the neilmed sinus rinse bottle work wonders. Netti pot is another way, very similar for clearing the sinus passages.

hope you find relief soon.
